Kent Suits

Church Planter & Lead Pastor

Kent is married to Kaitlin and together they have 4 beautiful daughters: Caris (11), Liza (9), Audrey (6) and Selah (1 1/2).  They stay active as a family with softball, music, homeschooling, camping and worshiping together at CCCBL. The Suits Family moved to Batesburg-Leesville to plant Christ Community Church in January 2018.

The  verse that Kent hopes will describe his ministry is Acts 20:24: "I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."

Shanez Padgett

Worship Director & Media Arts

Shanez was born and raised in Batesburg-Leesville only 5 minutes from our church. Joining us in January 2021, he has enjoyed the opportunity of being on mission in his home community! Alongside his strong passion for worship, he spends the majority of his time working and studying at the University of South Carolina - Aiken.  As time progresses, he and his fiancé (Tylea), hope to spend time enjoying the outdoors, growing disadvantaged communities, & spreading the gospel through word and worship.

One of Shanez's key verses in his ministry is Colossians 3:16: "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."

Susan Clifton

 Administrative  Assistant & Women's Coordinator

Susan grew up in Gilbert, SC.  She and her husband, Jack, joined Christ Community Church in the early months of our beginning as a Church Plant.  Susan has served faithfully in the life and ministry of our church, and helps us better steward our resources for the Glory of Jesus and His Kingdom.

One of the verses that inspires Susan's ministry is 1 Peter 4:10-11:  "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:  whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."

Sarah Shealy

Director of NextGen Discipleship (Kids & Youth)

Sarah grew up in Batesburg-Leesville, SC and is a graduate of South Carolina Connections Academy and Anderson University. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jacob and together they have a son, Logan (18 months.) In her spare time, Sarah enjoys writing, singing, organizing things, and many types of craft hobbies (knitting, crochet, quilting, sublimation…Basically any craft thing you can think of, Sarah has probably tried it or thought about trying it!) Spending over 12 years in education between children’s ministries and public schools, Sarah has a passion for teaching children about the love and grace of God.

A verse that inspires Sarah’s ministry is Matthew 19:14: “But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.'”

Angie McCormick

One verse that encourages Angie in her ministry is 1 Corinthians 12:4-6: "Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;  and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone."

One of Hunter's favorite verses for serving in ministry is Romans 8:38-39: "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
